Customer Reviews
Jared and Kathy Larrabee
We have loved our experience with KT Hardwoods from beginning to end. They are very professional, they listen to their customers, and they work hard to meet and exceed expectations. We went from a red oak flooring to an almost white oak look. They work very hard in working on the stain and made sure we liked the results. Definitely high quality work, we love our floors and get questions about them all the time.
Matt Evans
We renovated our home and K.T. Hardwoods did our floors. The owners and the installers where great. They took the time to explain the different types of hardwood floors. The install crew put down several different kinds of stain so we could get the correct color for our floors. The finished product was awesome! Everyone that comes into our home always comments on the floors and we tell them K.T. Hardwoods did the floors. I would use them again and would recommend them to all my neighbors and friends.
Monica Hayes
Great job refinishing my floors! Casey and Bryce were great. They repaired a water damage area and created a stain color I love. They were professional, detail oriented, always on time, and finished in a timely manner. I love the finished product.
Joy Nebeker
They did a great job on my hickory floor. It goes great with my new cabinets. Just make sure when you get your floor that you ask lots of questions so you know what your getting and the process.
Lois Gibbons
KT Hardwoods did an amazing job replacing and restoring my hardwood floors. I am so pleased with the results. Working with Shane and Kathy in the office and Jeremy and Shane, the installers, was a pleasure. Everyone was so nice and professional. From start to finish they were there for me. I have another flooring project coming up and am excited to be working with the KT Hardwoods team again. They are the very best!
FAQs Asked Questions About Hardwood Flooring in Park City, UT
What type of hardwood flooring works best in mountain climates?
Engineered hardwood is often recommended for Park City homes because it offers greater stability through seasonal humidity and temperature fluctuations common in mountain environments.
Why are gaps forming between my hardwood floor planks during winter?
Dry winter air and indoor heating systems can cause hardwood flooring to contract naturally. Proper installation and humidity control help reduce seasonal movement.
Can hardwood floors handle ski traffic, snow, and moisture?
Yes. With proper finishes, entry mats, and maintenance, hardwood flooring can perform beautifully in mountain homes with active outdoor lifestyles.
Is luxury vinyl plank a good option for vacation rental properties?
Absolutely. Luxury vinyl plank is durable, moisture-resistant, and easier to maintain, making it a popular choice for high-traffic vacation homes and rental properties.
Can KT Hardwoods create custom floor designs for luxury homes?
Yes. Our craftsmen specialize in custom hardwood layouts, including herringbone, chevron, basketweave, and mosaic parquet flooring patterns tailored to upscale interiors.
