Holly Holmes
This is the second time we have had KT hardwood Floors add more wood and refinish our existing wood floors. Shane has been just wonderful to work with, along with the helpful office staff. Hank and Leland were excellent at installing and refinishing. They were both very helpful at answering all my questions- I was very impressed with the quality of their work. We are so pleased with this company and highly recommend them. Thank you! Holly
Mark B. Taylor, MD
We love our hardwood floor installed 21 years ago by KT hardwoods and refinished a week ago to perfection. They are the best. They refinished the floor perfectly without damaging any of our white floorboard or getting dust throughout the rest of the house. I gave them five stars for a perfect job.
Dorothy Ledoux
We are very pleased with the work performed by KT Hardwood. We had one level in our home where they refinished the existing wood floor and a level where they installed new wood floor. They were professional, timely and incredibly accommodating. I have to mention Kathy and Trish, I truly enjoyed working with them. Both were supportive and positive. And the finished product? I love it.

We are so happy with our floors from K.T. Hardwoods. The Crew that worked on our house was the best. Rob ans Demetri. I’m so glad we had them. They paid attention to details and discussed with us any concerns we had. They send above and beyond to meet our needs with the floors. We also had very little dust which made me very happy. I can say enough good about our experience and are thrilled with our outcome.

FAQs Asked Questions About Hardwood Flooring in Holladay, UT
Why do older hardwood floors look cloudy or faded over time?
Years of foot traffic, sunlight exposure, and worn protective finishes can cause hardwood floors to lose their clarity and shine. Refinishing can restore their original beauty.
Can engineered hardwood match the look of traditional solid wood flooring?
Yes. Modern engineered hardwood offers the same upscale appearance as solid wood while providing greater stability in Utah’s changing climate conditions.
What’s causing dark spots or discoloration on my hardwood floors?
Discoloration can result from moisture exposure, aging finishes, or prolonged sunlight exposure. A professional evaluation can determine whether refinishing or board replacement is needed.
Is luxury vinyl plank suitable for upscale homes?
Absolutely. Many luxury vinyl plank products are designed to replicate high-end hardwood while offering excellent durability and lower maintenance requirements.
Can KT Hardwoods restore historic hardwood flooring?
Yes. Our hardwood sanding and refinishing services are ideal for restoring older floors while preserving the original character and craftsmanship of the home.
